HIGH BALLAST DEPENDENT VESSELS

About the application of InTank™ on high ballast dependent vessels
Marship Engineering and principal partner Scienco®/FAST InTank™ have been involved in the turn-key supply of the ballast water treatment systems for a series of vessels. The vessels types are VLCC, LNG’s, Capes, Newcastle Maxes and VLOC.
The InTank™ system treats ballast water during the voyage which is unique compared to other systems in the market. Besides, InTank™ system a filterless without treatment in port. This is a major advantage in time critically situations. InTank™ BWTS is relatively small and will only take 8m² including all the hardware. Other benefits are treatment of cargo hold in HWB condition, voyage exceed 5 days, scale down system and capex.
The typical specification outline for high dependent vessels is;
- Number of water ballast tanks: 14
- Dynamic Water ballast volumes in place: 60.000 to 90.000 m³
- No of ballast pumps: 2
- Flow rate (per pump): Avg. 3000 m³/hour
- Transit Water Ballast Volumes: as above + HWballast
