ADVISING ON BEST TECHNOLOGY WHEN IT COMES TO ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS

For a Rig Upgrade Program a UK based customers invited Marship Engineering to advise on application and integration of an ULTRA-SEP Oily water separator as their assets needed to be compliant with the latest environmental regulations. Their existing OWS was not fit for purpose and as a result was facing difficulties to have it upgraded MEPC 107(49). In addition, for future contracts and projects it was preferred to purify Bilge Water to levels below 5 ppm consistently.

After a pre-installation survey we advised on small modification of suction arrangement and overboard connection, replaced the old OWS by an Ultra-Sep US1000, including Auto Clean Function and integration with ECR/ Scada.
